Ayton Community Film & Presentation

The recently formed Frack Free Scalby, Burniston and Cloughton group are holding an information night at East Ayton Village Hall on Saturday 11 March 2016 at 6:00pm.

At this event, the group will show a film, followed by a Q&A session. The purpose of the evening is to inform the local population about this particular method of extracting shale gas from the land. This local area of our North Yorkshire coastline is now in a fracking licensed area.

Entry is free and all are very welcome to this event.

Scarborough Pre-Walk Rally

On Tuesday 7th March at a time TBC, a presentation and panel discussion on fracking will take place at Scarborough Library. Four invited speakers from the local political parties and trade unions will share their expertise on the public and human health consequences of the kinds of pollution that can come from fracking, and the moral and ethical dimensions of fracking.

The following day, Andrew Cooper (GP) will set off walking from KMPC to Preston New Road site. 120 miles in 5 days.

Cloughton Planning Meeting

Brompton Community Film & Discussion

Frack Free Scarborough will host a free event at Brompton Village Hall on the 21st February 2017 at 7:00pm.

At this event, the group will show a film, followed by a discussion on fracking. The High Court has confirmed North Yorkshire County Council’s planning permission for fracking at Kirby Misperton, bringing fracking closer to our communities.

Entry is free and all are very welcome to this event. Light refreshments will be provided.
